The Makings of A Dictator.

Power corrupts, absolute power, corrupts absolutely. The signs of a megalomaniacal personality are being displayed by a relatively young, sometimes dynamic politcal leader. I listened with disbelief as this leader Mr. Patrick Manning tried to justify the unceremonious removal and public humiliation of a son of that nation. He thumped his chest, Idi Amin like and proclaimed his chrisitianity. I am sure that heaven shook. What a misrepresentation! Mr. Manning has flexed his political muscle with the insensitivity of a pedophile blaming his victim. He has made decisions that minimize the intelligence of the populace. In a country where murders have climbed to the level of two per day, it is a disgrace that this leader will choose to destroy the character of a brilliant, astute young dynamo for the crime of obscene language. Mr. Manning has thrown out the baby with the bath water, he is daily developing his kangaroo court, unknowingly or in ignorance fostering his demise. I am weary of the individual who forever highlights his christianity. There is an old Trinidadian saying, " what eh meet yuh eh pass yuh". Mr. Manning needs to retrench his ego. I remember him shamelessly declaring himself the father of the nation. The first thing a dictator does is remove any one who may be threatening and then surrounds himself with figureheads and yesmen. Mr. Manning you are heading down a road that has been travelled by quite a few leaders who eventually die in exile. Trinidadians beware, bend the tree while it is young.
